Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive healing practice that focuses on balancing the energy within your body. During your Reiki session, you can expect a calm, relaxing, and peaceful atmosphere.

Here’s a general outline of what you can expect:

Before the session: Stay hydrated! Eat light- try to avoid heavy meals. Wear comfortable clothing.

Arrival & Intention Setting: When you arrive, we’ll begin by discussing your goals for the session. Whether you’re seeking physical healing, emotional balance, or simply relaxation, setting an intention helps guide the flow of energy during the session. Think about how you’d like Reiki to support you. Perhaps you’re simply curious about the experience or seeking deep relaxation. Or, you may have a specific intention, such as, “I feel blocked in my career and need guidance,” or “I’m receiving medical treatment and want help releasing toxins and finding peace.” Whatever your reason, trust that Reiki will meet you where you are, offering what you need for this moment in your life.

Comfortable Environment: You will be invited to lie down. Soft lighting, soothing music, and an overall peaceful atmosphere will help you relax and unwind. You can keep your eyes closed and focus on your breath, allowing yourself to fully enter a state of relaxation.

The Reiki Process: I will gently place my hands on or near specific areas of your body, allowing the universal life force energy to flow where it’s needed most. You may feel sensations such as warmth, tingling, or a sense of deep relaxation. If you don't feel anything, that is okay too. Every session is unique, and the experience can vary from person to person.

Emotional & Physical Release: Sometimes, as energy begins to shift, you may feel emotions or memories come up. This is normal and can be part of the healing process. Reiki supports emotional release and can help you process energy that may have been blocked.

Be Open to the Experience:Approach your session with an open heart and mind. Trust that Reiki will guide you to what’s needed for your healing. By allowing yourself to be open, you create space to release anything that no longer serves you, helping you to feel more expansive, empowered, peaceful, and whole.

What Should I Do During the Session? It’s common to wonder, "What should I be doing during the Reiki session?" What you’re really asking is, "What should I do with my mind during this time?" The answer: Relax and allow yourself to be present. Begin by taking some deep breaths, and remember, if your mind starts to wonder, that's okay, return without judgment and know you can always come back to your breath. It’s perfectly normal for your mind to stay active during your first session, as it tries to figure out how to relax. Be kind to yourself, and gently guide your mind back to your focus. As the session progresses, notice what thoughts, images, or sensations come up. You may feel a deep sense of peace, or something else entirely—whatever arises is exactly what you need.Above all, trust the process and know that Reiki will help guide you toward healing and relaxation.

End of the Session: At the end of the session, you may feel deeply relaxed or you may feel emotional. Take your time to slowly reorient yourself before getting up. Stay hydrated for the next 24 hours.
